Doily Days

A Brand New Website

October 18, 2017 | News

Our brand new website launches today!.. It’s been a long time coming and it now ties in with the look and feel of the magazine (we re-branded last year).

We’ll be blogging regularly on the new site, to give our magazine advertisers added value and more exposure.

This is a rushed post as I’m busy preparing for a networking event tonight. It’s in Southsea and it’s for our exhibitors at The Wonderous Wedding Fair which we work on with The Vintage Parade. The show is just a few weeks away on Sunday 5th November. We’ve already done a styled shoot with some of the exhibitors (photos by the brilliant Photography by Paloma) so we’re pretty much one one big happy family already! That’s what Doily Days is all about; bringing together brilliant unique and alternative local wedding suppliers, encouraging friendships and collaborations and general business success. We’ll be drinking to that tonight!

I’m also excited you can now view our promotional video! It was shot and edited by the brilliant Chris Spice and, although, I’m still cringing a bit, I think it’s brilliant and really shows what we’re all about.

I’ve also got my party to look forward to! I’m hosting a Christmas get-together in Southsea on Saturday November 25th. It’s to celebrate 10 issues of Doily Days and an excuse to dust off our posh dresses! I have lovely invitations printed which I’ll be handing out tonight and sending to all issue 10 advertisers next week.

Oh my goodness, there’s SO much to celebrate… I’ve also just launched Southsea Folk Magazine. I’ll be keeping that separate to the wedding stuff and, of course, my main focus will remain on weddings, but it’s a publication I wanted to work on to celebrate the creativity and independent vibes in my local area.

Last but not least I’m going to be working with a business coach from next month. After the fair I’m having my first session with Lisa Johnson from Just Own This and I’m so excited. I’m looking to diversify within the wedding industry and use all the skills I’ve learnt over the last eight years… so watch this space!

Hope you like the new site! As always, I love your feedback.
